Fellowship
United Methodist Women
United Methodist Women (UMW) is an organization of approximately one million members whose purpose is to foster spiritual growth, develop leaders and advocate for justice. Berkeley has two UMW circles: Women in God’s Grace (WIGG), who meet on Saturday mornings, and Women in Action, who meet on Wednesdays. UMW members sponsor mission work, educational programs, and other programs. Women of all ages are welcome to attend.
United Methodist Men
United Methodist Men (UMM) aims to help men grow in Christ and serve others. Berkeley’s UMM group meets for breakfast at 7:28 am on the third Saturday of each month.
United Methodist Youth Fellowship
Berkeley’s youth group includes teens from sixth through twelfth grades. The youth meet for fun and fellowship on Sunday evenings at 5:30 in the Christian Life Center (CLC). The youth also sponsor and participate in mission work in the community, including a yearly mission trip within Texas.
Congregational Care Committee
The Congregational Care Committee addresses the concern and needs of people in the congregation. This includes phone calls, coordinating and providing meals for those in need during times of crisis, illness, death, etc. It also coordinates covered dish luncheons, church van drivers, and maintaining the CLC kitchen.
Evangelism Committee
The Evangelism Committee is responsible for welcoming all people into the congregation so that they may develop a relationship with God. It supports the mission of the church by promoting it as a place of worship, education, and Christian fellowship.
Other Opportunities
Opportunities to forge lasting friendships at Berkeley abound. Join us for coffee on the deck between services. We’d love to get to know you better.
