Berkeley UMC member,Phyllis Coombes, is teaching a beginning Tai Chi class in Berkeley’s Fellowship Hall on Sundays from 4 to 5 p.m. These introductory classes are free, and may be continued with a nominal fee for participation. Health experts recommend Tai Chi for balance and fall prevention, strength training, arthritis, diabetes and improving circulation. Phyllis is a certified trainer and has been teaching for 5 years. Men and women, church members and members of the community are all welcome. Wear loose clothing and low heeled flexible shoes.
